Media library
The Media library allows you to explore images from the publications available within the Librios platform. Use the search bar at the top of the page to start your search, then refine using creator name, subject, date, and other criteria. Once you identify a work that interests you, click through to the image details to discover the related scholarship.
All image searches will begin on the
Media library landing page. Using the search box at the top of the page, users can input Boolean searches (see
Publication search) to view related images associated with publication chapters on the Librios platform.
Working with Image Search Results
Sorting Results
Use the " Sort by" pull-down to sort results by:
Relevance (the default)
•Selecting Relevance results in an order starting from the most pertinent based on calculation of frequency and proximity of search terms.
•Chapter metadata is prioritized.
•Keep in mind, however, that "relevance" is calculated by software and is not fool-proof. Please use relevancy ranking as a general guide. Use the Options for Filtering Search Results to get a smaller, more focused results set.
Creator name
Selecting Artist puts results in order by last name either alphabetically (A-Z) or reverse alphabetized (Z-A).
Title
Selecting Title puts results in order by title either alphabetically (A-Z) or reverse alphabetized (Z-A).
Date
•Selecting Oldest First puts results in order by creation date starting from the oldest results.
•Selecting Newest First puts results in order by creation date starting from the most recent results.
